Southern Finland branch of the Finnish Chef Association
The Southern Finland branch of the Finnish Chef Association and its traditional creamy Baltic herring chowder have become a staple of the Helsinki Baltic Herring Market over the decades.
At this year’s event, our vats of chowder will be steaming from early morning until 4 pm on the opening day of the market, Sunday, 2 October.
The Southern Finland branch of the Finnish Chef Association is a humanitarian organisation whose mission is to promote its members’ craft, competence and sense of community. Our members include head chefs, sous-chefs and pantry chefs of restaurants, staff canteens and other food establishments. The organisation has around 200 members.
