A total of 32 fishermen will sell their produce directly from their fishing boats and vendor stalls at the Market Square from Sunday, 6 October to Saturday 12 October. Fish will be sold between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. from Sunday to Friday and between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The traditional sailing ships Albanus, Vivan, Olga, Joanna Saturna and Valborg will be present for the duration of the Baltic Herring Market week, offering the best fish soup around and other delicacies of the season.

The club evening begins with marine-themed performances by guest poets, after which anyone is welcome to perform their poetry during the open mic session.

The guest performers are the poets Kaija Rantakari, Ville Hytönen and Outi-Illuusia Parviainen. The event is hosted by Harri Hertell.

Traditional Sailing Days 12–13 October
The large Finnish sailing ships arrive at the Cholera basin and Lyypekinlaituri pier on Saturday, 12 October at 4 p.m.
On Sunday, 13 October, the ships are open to the public from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., after which they will sail back to their home ports.
