Restaurant Ariel

Introduction

Restaurant Ariel is a new restaurant and café located by the sea in Kalasatama, Helsinki. Opened in May, the restaurant offers modern interpretations of classic Finnish dishes. The kitchen is headed by award-winning chef Kristian Vuojärvi.

The restaurant’s food philosophy relies on fresh ingredients, utilizing traditional cooking methods with a modern touch.

At the Baltic Herring Market (Silakkamarkkinat), Ariel offers its hugely popular “world’s best” salmon soup, smoked herring flatbreads (rieska), sheet pan cardamom buns (peltipulla), hot drinks, as well as seasoned salt and malt bread to take home.
